Luca Guadagnino Captures Jonathan Anderson's SS24 Men's Collection in 'I Dreamt of LOEWE'

LOEWE‘s Spring/Summer 2024 Men’s runway show will be held during Paris Fashion Week SS24 in nine days’ time, and in anticipation for this, Creative Director Jonathan Anderson has tapped his long-time friend and collaborator Luca Guadagnino to create a short film.
Titled I Dreamt of LOEWE, the short doesn’t just explore a few examples of the SS24 collection, but also the collection’s surroundings. Captured in David Zwirner New York around the 2010 Echolalia works of the Austrian artist Franz West, the film sees models in the clothes and nude interacting with their newfound exhibition space.
The film works with models Andrea Isidori, Elliott McDean, Malick Anderson, Bruno Krahl and Adrians Smats, but puts the focus on the former. As he falls asleep on a sofa in the nude, Isidori hallucinates a dream of LOEWE, enabling characters to warp and dramatize themselves to the music and the sculptures, emulating the impact of the SS24 collection.
Thus, we see sunglasses embellished in crystals, plenty of elongated silhouettes — such as super-high-waisted sage green trousers — and cropped shapes too, notably a sculptural knitted cardigan in baby blue. New bags are also on display, as is a focus on knitwear.
