Kid Cudi, also known as Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, unveils his second ready-to-wear collection for Members of the Rage. The Spring/Summer 2024 collection continues to bring the vintage ’90s grunge paired with a futuristic hip-hop aesthetic, this time with a heroic narrative.

In the presentation notes, Cudi said, “For my second season, I’ve added to that flavor with new techniques and custom hardware, and
personal touches like manga prints made by my niece, Zuri. My goal for every collection is to grow and get better each season and learn.” The collection stays true to its original building blocks, bringing a source of vibrant color blocking tones in neon blue and pink to bring cosmic allusions to the pieces. From varsity jackets to oversized pants, the collection creates a sort of utopian uniform that collides with MOTR house codes.

Through an abundance mixture of print and texture, SS24 brings exaggerated silhouettes through wide trousers, massive sneakers to ward of extra-terrestrial environs, as well as an array of upsized outerwear and shirting. The theatrical energy from the collection sees cargo and utility elements og hand in hand with craftsmanship and technique throughout. The MOTR lighting bolt and manga appliqué patches are added details alongside hand-embroidered intarsia. The palette sees summer whites mingle with earthy neutrals, stone-washed denim and new signature shaedes of cobalt and vermillion. Mixing both his roots in music and now fashion, the designer has fused iconography from music in sports, including his collaboration with NIGO. In tune with the futuristic elements, the world of AI generation has been touched upon through the hypnotic prints.

In other fashion news, Loewe was glittery and vibrant for SS24.
