Dior Officially Presents the B33 Sneaker (and its "Dior Tears" Iterations)
A key part of the brand’s Fall 2023 collection, equipped with an authenticity-guaranteeing NFC chip.
Dior has officially presented its B33 sneaker, a chunky, Thibo Denis-designed low top with a hybrid look that sits somewhere in between skate shoe and b-boy sneaker. A key piece of the brand’s Fall 2023 footwear offerings (alongside 3D-printed styles like derby shoes and boots), the B33 will release in both in-line iterations and collaborative “Dior Tears” takes curated by Demin Tears founder Tremaine Emory.
The “Dior Tears” iterations of the B33 arrive in two styles: one that offers shaggy mohair detailing and the other that remixes the Dior Oblique toile with Denim Tears’ familiar cotton wreath embellishments. Meanwhile, the in-line iteration offers the same Dior Oblique toile as its collaborative counterpart, sans cotton wreath of course. All pair are completed with a thick white midsole and a rubberized heel badge that states “30, Avenue Montaigne” for a salute to the brand’s history and Monsieur Christian Dior himself. Last but not least, there’s also an ultra-unique style that’s yet to be revealed, limited to 470 pairs and combining the “Dior Tears” mohair style with a Dior Oblique pattern. Each of these is also connected to a “digital counterpart.”
There’s more to the B33 than meets the eye as well. Each pair comes with NFC technology in the right foot’s sole, an encrypted digital key that allows the owner to access what Dior calls a “personal, secure platform offering dedicated services.” In layman’s terms, this means that B33 owners can access their shoe’s certificate of authenticity, learn more about how it was made and get early info on forthcoming drops.
Expect the Dior B33 to drop on the brand’s webstore on July 6, and head over to the Dior homepage now for more info. The MSRP has yet to be announced
