With Mia Khalifa, DDG and Asake in Tow, BLUEMARBLE Became the Hottest Cult Label of SS24
The star-studded runway was just the start, as Anthony Alvarez delivered a bedazzled sun-drench collection of dreams.

Anthony Alvarez‘s BLUEMARBLE may still be in its infancy, but it’s certainly not immature. As proven in today’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway show held as part of Paris Fashion Week, Alvarez’s cult appeal drew in hoards, including the likes of Mia Khalifa, Sebastian Yatra, DDG, Heart Evangelista, and Asake sitting on the FROW.
It’s high praise for a brand that was founded in 2019, having since gone on to critical acclaim for its sense of irreverence, joy, and above all else, ability to make you smile. SS24 was no exception to the cause, taking us to a desert oasis piled with blue mountains of sand on a sunset-orange rug.
Mirror structures soared towards the ceilings, acting as a pathway for models to detour — in turn, giving us all a considerably good look at the clothes on offer. Thankfully, there was much worth seeing.
Alvarez is known for his attention to detail, but SS24 heightened this. Blazers — cut boxy and louche for summer getaways — featured Gucci-esque branding on the left cuff. His frequent use of crystal embellishment and encrusting was at an all-time high, with Western patterns adorning shoulders, flame designs pinning to the side of Bermuda shorts, and hundreds decorating the side seam of trousers, or spiraling out of control on silky two-piece numbers that effectively transported us to tropical climates.
The glitz was met with grit, as jorts (also encrusted), work pant slacks with dropped rear pockets, varsity vests, and clip-adjustable sawn-off shirts also frequented the runway. Each style was paired with BLUEMARBLE’s own footwear, but a notable inclusion was the Vibram-equipped mules, twisted with a tongue taken from a pair of hiking boots.
