B21 Announces 'Winnie-the-Pooh' Horror Video Game 'Hundred Acre Wood'
Another terrifying take on A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard’s beloved childhood character.
B21 has officially announced its upcoming video game Hundred Acre Wood, a horror title based on the Winnie-the-Pooh created by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard.
Currently available to view on Steam, the game is set in a devastated and “twisted” version of Hundred Acre Wood that’s been overtaken by an “Otherworldly Power.” The player’s main goal is to rescue Christopher Robin while being hunted by Winnie-the-Pooh — your old childhood friend — and figuring out why Hundred Acre Wood turned into this deadly and dangerous place.
The game is billed as a more open-world type and will allow players to “[r]un, hide, platform, solve puzzles and shoot” their way across the map. Notable characters in the Winnie-the-Pooh universe such as Heffalumps, Woozles, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Piglet and Kanga will also make special appearances.
The fusion of Winnie-the-Pooh and horror arrives as the character entered the public domain last year, with Blood and Honey becoming the first public release to merge the two together.
Stay tuned for an official release date for Hundred Acre Wood.
