New 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' TV Spot Hears Voiceovers From Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland
Could the three live-action Spideys appear in the animated sequel?
Sony Animation has debuted a new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse TV spot entitled “Legacy.”
The 30-second visual begins with voiceovers from the live-action Spider-Man film actors Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland, who each talk about sacrifice, making enemies as part of the job and having the chance to prove oneself. Their parts are followed by short yet action-packed scenes from Across the Spider-Verse, one of which includes their own take on the famous Spider-Man pointing meme that sees three Spideys from the 1968 episode pointing at each other.
It remains to be seen whether Maguire, Garfield and Holland will actually reprise their roles in Across the Spider-Verse, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they did. The upcoming sequel is shaping up to be a story that follows Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales as he passes through several universes, and it seems like there will be even more multiverse Spideys on his journey.
Check out the TV spot above. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hits theaters June 2.
