Missy Elliott and Kate Bush are among some of the women artists that made the cut for this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class. Also in the mix are Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, George Michael and lastly, the bands Rage Against the Machine and the Spinners.

Qualifications for inclusion in the class are described as “artists who have created music whose originality, impact, and influence has changed the course of rock & roll.” They also have to have released their first record at least 25 years prior to induction.

The inductees will be honored at the 38th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony, slated to take place on November 3 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The ceremony will also recognize the two recipients of this year’s Musical Influence Award, celebrating those whose music has directly influenced the sound of rock and roll and youth culture overall. The 2023 award will go to Link Wray and LL Cool J.

Rounding off the list are the artists being celebrated for their originality in music with the Musical Excellence Award, Chaka Khan, Al Kooper and Bernie Taupin. Television presenter of the show Soul Train Don Cornelius, meanwhile, will be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award, dedicated to impactful, non-performing industry professionals.

In other music news, UK rapper Nines released a new short film Crop Circle 2.
