S.J.H.U. Project Introduces 'Godzilla' x 'Evangelion' x 'Ultraman' x 'Kamen Rider' Shin Universe Mecha
Celebrating tokusatsu special-effects.
Building on the Shin Universe created by Hideaki Anno, a new tokusatsu special-effects video brings together Anno’s Evangelion with Shin Godzilla, Shin Ultraman, and Shin Kamen Rider. Part of the S.J.H.U. Project, the video shows the iconic figures battling evil figures throughout the city.
Pushed to their limits, Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Evangelion Unit-01 come together to create the “Shin Universe Mecha.” The video features a vocal performance by Yoko Takahashi, the artist behind the “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” theme, and is directed by Hiroshi Butsuda, a tokusatsu special effects director.
The S.J.H.U. Project has also worked with Bandai to create a figure for the Shin Universe Mecha. The mecha is made of individual figures that can be used to create the amalgamated robot.
Priced at ¥23,100 JPY (approximately $167 USD), the S.J.H.U. Project Shin Universe Mecha can now be pre-order from the Premium Bandai and the Evangelion store, with delivery set for sometime this January.
In case you missed it, the lost Johnny Bravo x Dragon Ball Z episode has been uncovered.
