Dropkick Offers Up an Out of This World Interpretation of New Balance’s Grey Day

As New Balance reveals its alternative “Moon Daze” pack ahead of its annual Grey Day celebrations, the sneaker brand partners with Dubai-based streetwear retailer Dropkick to spotlight the region’s creatives who are authentically incorporating sneakers into their ventures of tomorrow.

The new campaign takes notes from the “Moon Daze” concept, positioning the emerging talent against the backdrop of another universe. Going beyond the otherworldly feel, the visuals also depict how the various iterations of New Balance’s gray sneakers have contributed to the brand’s ever-presence and transcendental nature that stays with its wearers through every new journey.

Each of the creatives featured in the campaign open the doors to their unique world with sneakers from the pack guiding their stylistic identity. Upon the celestial setting, Emirati content creator Yasmin wears New Balance 550 styled with an oversized tee, track pants and her signature blonde boy-cut as Dubai-based model Suhaib opts for the statement 9060, reflecting his cutting-edge fashion choices. Through close-up shots, Dropkick captures the imprint that the three creatives are leaving behind as they move to success in their respective fields.
