Global retailer Dover Street Market recently marked the return of its notorious Market Market Monolithic Magic archive sale in London. After a seven-year pause, the revival saw local fanatics head to Printworks, hoping to grasp designer pieces at an 80% discount.
Dover Street Market Market’s next stop is New York City, held in collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS. The occasion will arrive at 866 United Nations Plaza, opening on June 8 and closing four days later. The 59,000-square-foot venue will sell pieces by COMME des GARÇONS and Dover Street Market’s beloved brands, such as Youths In Balaclava, Jacquemus, Palace, and more.
To avoid unorganized chaos, attendees will not be allowed to queue overnight and can arrive at 8:00 a.m. daily. Guests will enter on a first-come-first-serve basis and sign a liability waiver before receiving wristbands with dedicated time slots for entry.
Much like in London, stock will be replenished several times throughout the day to permit unique finds every visit. Bags and coats must be checked at the entrance, while all major payment methods will be accepted at checkout.
