The realm of sneakers refuses to experience any lulls during this mid-month period as all of your favorite sportswear brands are set to serve up a generous amount of new releases this week. In these next seven days of May, imprints such as Jordan Brand, Nike, adidas and PUMA are all seeking to strengthen your collection with new collaborations and inline colorways. But before we get deeper into those, let’s first do a quick summary of all of the biggest sneaker headlines that popped up last week.

Let’s kick off with exclusives shall we? Our Sole Mates series racked up another feature with Dallas Wings WNBA hooper Arike Ogunbowale as she discussed her love for the Nike Dunk. We also caught up with NBA player Jalen Green to get his take on the forthcoming BAPE x adidas Forum Low ‘84 anniversary collection and spoke to Hiroshi Fujiwara and Edison Chen about the new CLOT x fragment x Nike Dunk Low project. Shifting gears over to the news front, we witnessed Nike reveal a Kobe 8 Protro “Triple White” release, new NOCTA x Nike Hot Step colorways and a clean Nike Dunk Low “Cacao Wow” makeup. Energy from the folks at Jordan Brand was also felt as more images of the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 in “Black” popped up and official images of the Air Jordan 6 “Toro” and the Air Jordan 1 High “Craft” surfaced.

Major news came from adidas last week as the Germany-based company came to an agreement with Ye to sell its remaining stock of YEEZY products and donate parts of the proceeds to charity. In terms new products, it unveiled an ADIMATIC Mid and Campus Supreme Sole collaboration with atmos and a new adidas Y-3 running capsule. Other  compelling kicks to note include BEAMS’ New Balance 2002R Mule, Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Slide in “Citrus Milk” and Supreme and Clarks Originals’ Spring 2023 assemblage.

Caught up? Amazing. Dive into the best kicks that are releasing over the next seven days below. And when you’ve had your fill, head over to HBX to browse even more new footwear styles.

Jordan Tatum 1 “Barbershop”

Release Date: May 16
Release Price: $120 USD
Where to Buy: Nike
Why You Should Cop: Before Jayson Tatum battles it out on the hardwood with the Miami Heat, he’s drawing attention back to his signature line with Jordan Brand to unveil his new Jordan Tatum 1 “Barbershop” colorway. This makeup immortalizes his mic’d up moment from 2019 where he commented on how he believes he’s “top 5” whenever he has a fresh haircut. Bright blue and red stripes — which are symbolic of barbers’ poles — are situated on the heel tabs as well as the interior sides of the tongues, the former of which host Tatum’s signature while the latter is accompanied by a “Deuce” hit to shout out his son.

Nike Dunk Low “Mica Green”

Release Date: May 16
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Brighter neutrals and pastel colors are fitting for warmer weather, and thankfully Nike is dropping another Dunk Low colorway that fits that mold this week. The “Mica Green” offering utilizes its titular shade to stand out across the overlays, tongues and laces while its quarters, toe boxes and collars are styled in a “Pure Platinum” hue and its Swooshes appear in an off-white tone for crisp and clean color-blocking.

Samuel Ross x Timberland Collection

Release Date: May 16
Release Price: $220-$900 USD
Where to Buy: A-COLD-WALL*
Why You Should Cop: Ross has been tapped by Timberland as the second Future73 creator to put his takes on the 6-Inch Boot and the 3-Eye Lug as well as a set of co-designed apparel. The 6-Inch Boot features a sleek, minimalistic look that is prepared with natural leather uppers, icy sole units. Its 3-Eye Lug counterpart is dressed in a navy blue/black mixture and swaps out its standard leather construction for ballistic nylon and is accompanied by a GORE-TEX liner.

Rick Owens DRKSHDW x Converse TURBODRK Chuck 70

Release Date: May 16
Release Price: $170 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: For their second team-up of 2023, Rick Owens DRKSHDW and Converse have reunited to rework the TURBODRK Chuck 70 with a laceless upper. The square-toed model is done up in “Dust” and “Pink” colorways so that consumers can choose between understated and ostentatious aesthetics. For the campaign, the duo tapped Canadian artist Peaches to model each of the eccentric offerings.

Air Jordan 5 “Craft”

Release Date: May 17
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: The famed Air Jordan 5 silhouette returns to the spotlight this week because its “Craft” installment is slated to hit the masses. This pair gets its charm for its elevated construction as it swaps out its traditional leather upper build for a shaggy suede material and features striking details such as its patterned shoelaces and pops of orange atop the Jumpman branding and interior sides of the tongues.

Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Green”

Release Date: May 18
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: J Balvin’s Air Jordan 3 collaboration is slated to drop later this year, but before you get riled up about those, Jordan Brand is dropping off a few inline iterations of the silhouette to satisfy you in the meantime. Up next is the Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Green” iteration. It retains much of the model’s classic features such as the tumbled white leathers and “Cement Grey” overlays, but it’s modernized with clover-esque eyelets, heel branding and midsole molds that allow it to stand on its own.

CLOT x fragment design x Nike Dunk Low

Release Date: May 19
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: JUICE
Why You Should Cop: After working with Nike to put together two-way “CLOTEZ” colorways, CLOT has now linked up with the Swoosh again for a three-way partnership with fragment design. The trio has lent their touch to the Dunk Low, and reimagined it with silk royale uppers that have tear-away capabilities, a white and black palette and CLOT and fragment emblems.

PUMA Stewie 2 “Ruby”

Release Date: May 19
Release Price: $125 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: New York Liberty’s Breanna Stewart is paving the way for future female athletes to receive their own signature sneakers as she continues her partnership with PUMA this season. His latest model — the PUMA Stewie 2 — is set to release this week, and it’s inaugural “Ruby” colorway honors her daughter and the grounding strength of motherhood. The all-red, court-ready kicks feature a sculptural wraparound heel with fiery flame details and Ruby’s birthday on the side.
