‘God of War Ragnarök’ Rolls Out New Equipment, Levels and Bosses in Expansive New Game Plus Update
The update is available to download everywhere now.
God of War Ragnarök has received a New Game Plus (NG+) offering new and exciting ways to explore the Nine Realms. Sony has shared NG+ update is available now, offering new equipment, levels and Enchantments.
For those unfamiliar with the term, an NG+ is a game mode that gives players who have already beaten the game a new way to experience it. Oftentimes, an NG+ will contain features that weren’t available upon first play or will be set up so that decisions early on in the game affect the storyline, giving players alternative options.
With the new Ragnarök update, gamers will be able to delve into the NG+ the second they finish the main campaign. While they’ll be granted more story options from the start, equipment, skills and weapons will be carried over from their previous gameplay, so players will have their entire stock of skills and tools to work with the second time around.
The only weapons players won’t have access to from the get-go are Sonic and Hex arrows, which will become available once the story reaches the point at which they’re necessary.
The NG+ has also delivered new equipment, such as the fan-favorite Ares and Zeus armors from 2018’s God of War. There are also new Enchantments and progression paths, providing players with more tools to deal with the increased difficulty of post-campaign gameplay and new endgame-exclusive bosses. Both Kratos and enemies now have an increased level cap going beyond the maximum Level 9 difficulty.
