Pharrell's Humanrace and adidas Originals Unveil New Samba Colors

Favoring a vivid monochromatic color scheme.

Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals are back with their second Samba collection. This time, the collection is titled Humanrace Samba Colors by Pharrell and features six monochromatic colorways — yellow, orange, pink, lilac, red and the friends and family exclusive, Humanrace green.

Gearing up for the vibrant warmer months, Pharrell’s take on the classic adidas silhouette focuses on craftsmanship and the use of luxe materials. The Humanrace Samba was first revealed in the lilac colorway earlier this month, showing off the silhouette’s premium construction. Pharrell said about the latest Samba launch, “We’re instilling high-quality materials and craftsmanship back into footwear.”

The depth of colorways continues to echo Pharrell and Humanrace’s DNA of embodying diversity and energy. His interpretation of the original Samba model elevates the traditional suede toe cap, with an all-around high-end leather upper, leather lining and leather shoelaces that are sourced from ECCO leather. With ECCO Leather’s water-saving tanning technology, the new iteration of the Sambas is more sustainable, saving 20 liters of water per hide. Different from the traditional white and black base the collection arrives in favor of a bright monochromatic color scheme.

Humanrace Samba Colors by Pharrell will be pre-launching exclusively for the Virginia Beach community at Pharrell’s SOMETHING IN THE WATER Festival from April 28 to April 30. The collection will release globally starting on May 6 via the adidas Confirmed app and online at Humanrace.
