With two newsworthy weekends of Coachella out of the way, it’s time for many to step back into reality. For any sneakerheads out of the loop, we’re covering the latest and greatest launches this week from Nike and Jordan Brand, New Balance and adidas. Before we let you know what to bring your wallet out for, let’s go over what headlines had the scene talking.

Per usual, Sole Mates is back with a new installment — this time featuring KCDC Skateshop owner Amy Ellington and her Nike SB Dunk High collaboration. The Hypebeast team also had the opportunity to connect with KidSuper’s Colm Dillane at his first-ever Coachella — discussing his UGG collaboration, design inspiration and the festival itself. Wrapping up the footwear features, we sat down with IDK for an exclusive reveal of his F&F-exclusive “Free Coast” collection of Nike Air Maxes.

In other Nike-related news, several new silhouettes from the brand surfaced, including a VaporMax Moc Roam, a sandal version of the Air Adjust Force and the Motiva — a new running shoe. The Swoosh also continued to reveal collaborations with its signature NBA talent including a Devin Booker x Air Zoom GT Cut 2, “EYBL” colorway of the LeBron 20 and a rumored return of the KD 4 “Galaxy” for next year. As for the Jumpman, an on-foot breakdown of both the Bephie’s Beauty Supply x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG and Air Jordan 1 Low Craft “Cement Grey” made noise this week.

Festival fun continued courtesy of the Three Stripes with Pusha T showing off a Supernova Cushion 7 “Thorn” sneaker during his “Cokechella” set. Fear of God also took center stage with its first runway show featuring some of its long-awaited collaborative footwear with adidas.

Wrapping things up, retailers Bodega and size? have presented their latest works, outfitting the Crocs All-Terrain “NICT-TECH” Clog and two New Balance 580 colorways respectively. Sandy Liang’s footwear catalog is also set to expand with the launch of a collaborative capsule with Salomon.

Now that you’re up to speed with the past week’s footwear news, here’s what to look forward to across the next seven days. Afterwards, shop what’s available now via HBX to complete your footwear frenzy.

Nike ISPA MindBody “Barely Volt”

Release Date: April 25
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: For fans of eccentric kicks, it’s a special time of year as the always-unique Nike ISPA line ushers in two new silhouettes. Leading the charge, an electric presentation of the new ISPA MindBody is deceptively outfitted with comfort-oriented features. A plush foam midsole is joined by Flyknit at both the upper and underfoot, cradling the user’s feet with its sock-like fit. The Swoosh’s circular design philosophy has been employed once again as each pair utilizes interlocking components to lessen material waste — no glue necessary. If you’re looking to stand out while treating your feet right, this might be the shoe for you.

Nike ISPA Universal “Natural”

Release Date: April 25
Release Price: $80 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Joining the ISPA MindBody, a new slip-on style has been introduced with the ISPA Universal. Fusing elements from the Air Max 270, Zoom Type and the Solarsoft HTM, computer-driven data has created this one-of-a-kind shoe. Its Bio-EVA foam lacks any glue usage while two sets of 40% cork insoles have been included for longevity. Lacking any color, this presentation has been buffed by hand — crafting a unique look for each pair.

New Balance MADE in USA 990v3 “Black With Tan”

Release Date: April 26
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: Since the ‘80s the New Balance 990 has been a special shoe to runners and sneakerheads alike. Now seeing itself iterated upon six times, the 990v3 still stands out as a fan favorite. A go-to for Teddy Santis’ MADE in USA line, the division returns to the premium sneaker with a blend of black and tan across its presentation. The typical blend of pigskin suede, nubuck leather and a mesh base at the upper sees the various hues come together to create an eye-catching yet versatile look while hits of white and gray put on the finishing touches.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Olive”

Release Date: April 26
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: In the sneaker world, very few names can be compared to Travis Scott when it comes to generating hype. La Flame has been relentless — even with some bumps in the road — as he continues to drop one instantly sold out shoe after another. Most notably redesigning the Air Jordan 1 with reverse Swooshes, he’s closing out his run on the AJ1 with a women’s-exclusive “Olive” colorway. A black base is joined by white overlays while olive green Swooshes and a matching outsole bring a pop of color alongside red branding elements. For anyone looking to secure a pair this week for retail, good luck.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Four Horsemen”

Release Date: April 27
Release Price: $140 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: It’s been twenty years since the first Nike Air Force 1 “Four Horsemen” pairs popped up. Always a player exclusive for LeBron James, distributed to him and his closest friends and family, various looks have created an everlasting sneaker envy that all but a lucky few collectors have overcome. Now, it’s finally time for the elusive theme to hit the market publicly with a white and green colorway that nods to James’ alma mater — St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.

Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 610 & Rainier “Beneath the Surface”

Release Date: April 28
Release Price: $160 USD to $220 USD
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: It didn’t take long for Chicago native Joe Freshgoods and New Balance to reconnect after announcing the conclusion of their color-focused storytelling in October of last year. Thankfully for fans, the uncertainty surrounding the duo’s future was quickly cleared up with the reveal of a collaborative “Beneath the Surface” pack featuring the New Balance 610 and Rainier Boot. Both looks utilize a “JFG print” for the camouflage while the 610 sports a classic mixed material build and the Rainier sees GORE-TEX fabric support, a rugged Vibram outsole and leather lining to complete the build.

Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Pine Green”

Release Date: April 28
Release Price: $205 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Since 2021, various looks at Off-White™’s unconventional approach to the Nike Air Force 1 Mid have intrigued sneakerheads. Combining the classic shoe with Flywire cabling and a spiked outsole, the silhouette is anything but plain. Looking closer at this “Pine Green” presentation specifically, Off-White™’s candlestick motif hits the lateral heel of the left shoe while the typical medial label text details the shoe’s history. Special tongue branding, a zip tie hang tag and unique sockliner rounds out this action-packed look.

Nike ACG Watercat+ “Court Purple”

Release Date: April 28
Release Price: $125 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: After looking at the future with Errolson Hugh’s NikeLab ACG last decade, Nike ACG continues to dig into its roots — unearthing old silhouettes. The latest from the outdoor-oriented brand sees the ACG Watercat+ making its return. Its woven upper is quick to dry with a minimalist structure that has been coated in a bold “Court Purple.” Its quick-entry lacing system ensures ease of access while the mixed-rubber outsole backs a supportive structure.

Bad Bunny x adidas Campus Light “Wild Moss”

Release Date: April 29
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: Coachella 2023 may be in the books now but it’s not too late to tap into its lively spirit as headliner Bad Bunny’s latest look on the adidas Campus Light is now going from a remote launch in the desert to the global stage. Tapping into the “Wild Moss” of nature, the pair blends earthy green hues with hits of white and cream. Benito’s typical thematic elements, including his “El Ojo” graphic at the tongue, make an appearance as the silhouette remains the focal point of the duo’s work this year.

Air Jordan 3 “Wizards”

Release Date: April 29
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Best known for his time with the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan also played for the Washington Wizards for two seasons after his second retirement. A well-established figure in sportswear at this time, Jordan was treated to a special “Wizards” PE that has been a subject of desire for many sneakerheads for decades. It now sees a proper retail release, donning Wizards colors that create a “True Blue”-esque finish.
