As the week in music comes to a close, HYPEBEAST has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.
This week’s lineup is led by Post Malone and SZA x Doja Cat, who released the tracks “Chemicals” and the remix of “Kill Bill” respectively. Also joining this selection are offerings from the supergroup Dinner Party, Black Thought x El Michels Affair, King Krule, Saba x No I.D., Q, Balming Tiger, Shenseea and Adekunle Gold x Zinoleesky.
Post Malone – “Chemicals”
Post Malone drops off his first solo single of 2023 with “Chemicals,” a folk-tinged cut produced by Louis Bell, Andrew Watt and Posty himself. The artist opens up about his vulnerabilities in a relationship he can’t seem to let go of, delivering a melodic take.

SZA x Doja Cat – “Kill Bill (Remix)”
SZA reunites with Doja Cat to deliver a remix of her hit SOS track, “Kill Bill.” The updated version opens with a brand new verse from Doja Cat, who can be heard rapping about her perspective of being the “crazy ex-partner.”

Saba x No I.D. – “Back In Office”
Saba links up with No ID for their collaborative offering “Back In Office,” which arrives with an Ian Lipton-directed visual. Fans can catch the Pivot Gang leader perform at both Coachella 2023 weekends, and in June for Gov Ball.

Dinner Party - Enigmatic Society
Dinner Party makes their exciting return with their sophomore studio effort, Enigmatic Society. The supergroup comprised of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder enlist the help of vocalists Phoelix, Arin Ray, Ant Clemons, Tank and producers Sounwave, Hi-Tek and Trevor Lawrence Jr for the nine-track effort, which serves as “a celebration of Black joy, life, art, and culture, as it pays tribute to the duality that manifests in both the beauty and adversity in Black America.” The album also arrives with a cover art designed by Washington’s sister, artist Amani Washington.

King Krule – “Seaforth”
King Krule announces his upcoming studio album Space Heavy, which drops June 9, with the lead single “Seaforth.” The track arrives with an accompanying music video helmed by previous collaborator Jocelyn Anquetil, which brings viewers on a journey into the artist’s dream that is seen from the perspective of a father-and-puppy golden retriever duo.

Black Thought x El Michels Affair - Glorious Game
Black Thought and El Michels Affair release their awaited collaborative effort Glorious Game, a 12-track album that features Kirby on the title track, Son Little on “Protocol” and Brainstory on “Alterego.”

Balming Tiger – “SOS”
Balming Tiger is prepping for the release of their forthcoming debut album with their latest single “SOS.” Produced by bj wnjn, Unsinkable and Leesuho, the cut features all eleven members of the Seoul-based collective for the very first time.

Q – “NOT ALONE”
Q delivers an accompanying music video for “NOT ALONE,” arriving before the release of his forthcoming project Soul,PRESENT. The Hannah Bon-directed visual sees Q as different versions of himself, which embody the different pieces of himself to form one.

Shortly after releasing her “Locked Up” freestyle, GRAMMY nominee Shenseea delivers her single “Curious,” produced by London on da Track, Beam, Fred Ball Blak$ale and Al Cres. Fans catch the artist perform at both weekends of Coachella 2023.

Adekunle Gold x Zinoleesky- “Party No Dey Stop”
Adekunle Gold drop the music video for his Zinoleesky-assisted cut, “Party No Dey Stop.” The club hit hears the pair talk about their resilience and rise in the music industry, while the visual is presented as a stunning and vibrant guide through the culturally rich and buzzing Agege neighborhood in Lagos where the two artists grew up.
