Balenciaga Enters Its "Skatewear" Era With Latest Releases
Balenciaga’s roll out for its return sees the brand revert to business as usual.
Balenciagaleans into “Skatewear” for its latest drop of the season. Seemingly reverting to business as usual following last year’s brief hiatus. The luxury house made its return to Paris Fashion Week to present the Fall/Winter 2023 collection about a month ago.
As Balenciaga continues to make its way back, the label has dropped a new graffiti-focused skate-inspired capsule. Highlighting key essentials in its signature oversized and boxy aesthetic, t-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeves and sweatpants. The collection sees spray paint-like graphics all over the t-shirts and sweatpants, portraying the “BB” logo and additional miscellaneous patterns.
Under the new “Skatewear” theme, the varsity “Balenciaga” logo appears front and center on the pieces, also appearing to utilize the spray paint aesthetic. Taking on the carefree and comfortable style embodied by the skate community, the hoodies are baggy and even feature a distressed look. The t-shirts and sweatpants arrive in blue, black and grey while the hoodie and long-sleeve arrives in classic black and white. Take a look at the collection online at Balenciaga.
