'John Wick: Chapter 4' Becomes Highest Rated Film of Franchise on Rotten Tomatoes

In anticipation of the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, the fourth installment of the Keanu Reeves-led action project has become the franchise’s highest rated film on Rotten Tomatoes.
As of writing, the film has received 89 reviews and a Certified Fresh rating of 93%. Initial reactions to the film see critics calling it “one of the greatest action movies ever made,” praising Reeves in his acting and the storyline constantly keeping the viewers on their toes with “visceral and brutal action.”
Currently, the film is on course to have the franchise’s best opening weekend at the box office, expecting $64 million USD. With its 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is the first of the entire franchise to crack 90%. The Chad Stahelski-directed film takes John Wick to new heights with familiar faces including Donnie Yen, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayam and the recent late-Lance Reddick. Reeve’s character exacts revenge on the organization, better known as the High Table, all while recovering underground with the Bowery King, following the events of the third film, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Over the weekend, Lance Reddick was found dead at 6o years old, while he was on his press tour. Since his death, his peers have paid many tributes to the acclaimed actor.
John Wick: Chapter 4 premiers in theaters later this week on March 24.
