Nike to Release Devin Booker's First Signature Shoe Next Year
The Nike D Book 1 is rumored to be on its way.
Across the span of the 2022-23 NBA season, Nike Basketball has presented one headline after another. Just over a month ahead of its start, a rumor of Ja Morant receiving a signature shoe the following summer surfaced. Meanwhile, its Jordan Brand counterpart had its eyes locked on Jayson Tatum. Following this, turmoil between Kyrie Irving and the Swoosh led to Irving’s suspension and eventual removal from the Nike Basketball roster. Quickly, the focus shifted to Morant as Christmas Day marked the reveal of his Nike Ja 1.
Looking ahead to the 2023-24 NBA season, last year’s rumor of Devin Booker receiving a signature shoe with Nike has further developed. Originally thought to be launching in the fall of this year, Sneaker Files has reported that his shoe — the Nike D Book 1 — is set to release in the springtime of 2024. Given Booker’s well-documented love for the late Kobe Bryant — with his own Kobe 1 Protro PE appearing in 2018 — the Kobe line is a likely point of inspiration.
Stay tuned for more information as we await a first look at the Nike D Book 1.
