In March, the U.S. Postal Service will debut its latest collection of artistic stamps — this time, celebrating the “Art of the Skateboard.” Ushering in several vibrant designs, the USPS pictures the work of four skaters-turned-artists on photographs of skateboards, curated by art director Antonio Alcalá.

In a pressure-sensitive adhesive pane of 20 stamps, the Postal Service spotlights a series of inventive works. From Alaska, Crystal Worl articulated her Tlingit/Athabascan heritage with a blue-indigo salmon graphic, while William James Taylor Junior/Core222, a self-taught Virginia artist, concocted a red-and-orange abstract design. Arizone’s Di’Orr Greenwood celebrated her Navajo roots with a bright palette depicting eagle feathers, as well as the sun’s rising and setting tones; and lastly, Columbia-born, Washington, D.C.-bred muralist Federico “MasPaz” Frum created a stylistic jaguar.

The commemorative designs will be revealed during a first-day-of-issue ceremony at Cowtown’s 21st annual Phoenix Am contest in Arizona. There, the Honorable William Zollars, a member of the USPS Board of Governors, will help unveil the latest collection to the public.

The “Art of the Skateboard” stamps fall under the “Forever” stamps category, meaning they will always be equal to the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce price. The collection will be available for purchase beginning March 24, 2023. Take a look at the designs above.
