Since coming onto the scene, Paolo Carzana has managed to inject a whimsically fresh outlook on design. A few tools in his box include eye-catching fabrications embedded with mountains and valleys of texture, twisted proportions, gender-defying constructions and ultimately a full embrace of the queer identity. The Cardiff, Wales-based designer is taking the world deeper into his universe with his latest collection “Queer Symphony” for the Fall/Winter 2023 season.

Unveiled during London Fashion Week, the collection’s guiding principle “I Want To Be Hope For You” move throughout the collection as both a manifestation of love and power. The symphonically arranged work finds its ground through a selection of decadently crafted ensembles. Whether it be asymmetrically styled button-down shirts or slim-fitting pants, the collection’s fabrics combine color, raised textures, natural finishes and select see-through detailing.

The delicacies are seen throughout scrunched soft tulle ensemble in deep merlot an abstract white back sculptural piece alongside knitted suits with elongated jackets and multicolored ornate detailing. The collection’s fusion of visceral shades like Pacific coral and solar flare orange is only heightened by Carzana’s visionary outlook on interconnected styles that are meant to tell a story.
