The Tiffany & Co. x Nike has garnered a lot of attention in the past week with the surprise reveal of its unprecedented collaboration. After the unveiling that saw the brands take out a full-page print ad in The New York Times to feature the co-branded Nike shoe box in the Tiffany blue, featuring both logos and the phrase, “A Legendary Pair,” sneakerheads and fans alike have been in a frenzy online with many sharing mixed reviews.

In an op-ed from Business of Fashion, the publication reported that sneakerheads have “largely dismissed the $400 [USD] Nike Air Force 1 Low Tiffany & Co. 1837 shoes, which come in all-black nubuck leather with a Tiffany blue swoosh and silver plate on the back.” The publication also argues that the “partnership failed on multiple levels,” claiming that there “was no authentic synergy between the two brands, no discernable rationale for the collaboration other than two corporate juggernauts wanting to generate marketing buzz.” While that is the case, it is a marketing success, at top of news for the past week.

Gearing up for the release of the collaboration, which was first spotted on LeBron James, fans can now get a closer on-feet look at the pair. The coveted shoe is constructed with a black leather and suede base, highlighting the Swoosh in the classic Tiffany & Co. teal color that also colors the insoles. The shoe features detailed silver co-branded plates on the tongue and heel, all sitting atop an all-black Nike Air Force 1 rubber sole. The shoe will also be arriving in a special co-branded packaging.

Look out for the release of the Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 Low sneaker arriving on March 7 for $400 USD.

In case you missed it, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG has surfaced in “Black Cement.”
