Nike Air Vapormax 2021 "Air Pressure" Spotlights the Father of Nike Air
Celebrating NASA engineer Frank Rudy.
Following the release of a commemorative Nike Air Max 97 and Air Max Scorpion, Nike continues to celebrate Frank Rudy, the NASA engineer who presented Nike founder Phil Knight with the revolutionary idea of adding an air unit to the midsole of sneakers back in 1978, with a new Nike Air Vapormax 2021 “Air Pressure.”
The pairs are found in a mix of “Old Royal,” “Yellow Ochre,” and “Red” accents across white flyknit uppers paired with a matte yellow TPU heel clip and blue Vapormax-branded tongue tabs. Additional highlights include blueprint graphic insoles, pink pull tabs, and “Est. 2021” branding on the full-length Air unit. Rounding out the look are pressure gauge hangtags and grind rubber outsole grips hinting at the sustainable nature of the pairs which use 40 percent recycled content by weight.
Take an official look at the Nike Air VaporMax 2021 “Air Pressure” above and expect the pairs to release in the coming weeks via Nike and select retailers for $210 USD.
Elsewhere in footwear, Nike Air Force 1 receives the FlyEase treatment.
