McDonald's Korea Officially Announces NewJeans Collaboration
The K-pop collaboration is coming next month.
Captivating the world with their infectious tracks “Hype Boy” and “Attention” on their 1st EP and latest singles “OMG” and “Ditto,” K-pop supergroup NewJeans is now gearing up for a collaboration with McDonald’s. Following BTS’ major team-up with the fast food giant, McDonald’s South Korea division has now tapped the girl group formed by ADOR, a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation, for a highly-anticipated offering.
Starting February 25, McDonald’s Korea began sharing teasers featuring an “ATTENTION” written in 16-bit and an animated clip showing bunny ear Golden Arches. Following up the initial teasers with a 16-bit illustration of a meal and voice clip centered around a NewJeans’ member saying “Crispy.”
Already getting K-pop fans extremely excited, McDonald’s Korea has now officially announced its collaboration with NewJeans with a photo showing members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein in front of its iconic logo. Additionally, a retro gaming-inspired clip shows Matoki, the group’s mascot, and launches the search for “Crispy” theme for the team-up.
Teasers point to the NewJeans x McDonald’s Korea collaboration introducing a special crispy chicken sandwich meal release coming with special packaging. It is also possible for meal sets for the team-up could come with exclusive items and an accompanying merch release.
McDonald’s Korea shares that the NewJeans collaboration will be officially released March 2 in South Korea.
