Dior by MYSTERY RANCH Re-Imagines the Saddle Bag With Tactile Twists
Using Cordura, leather, mesh, and more across the Saddle, Gallagator, belt bag, a zip wallet, and a tactical belt.
Kim Jones is a master collaborator, bringing in ERL, Daniel Arsham, Denim Tears, Birkenstock and countless others into the Dior universe. Now, the House teams up with the American military, hunting, and mountaineering accessories brand MYSTERY RANCH to co-design a range of accessories for Summer 2023.
Leading the charge is the MYSTERY RANCH x Dior Saddle Bag, customizing a classic symbol of Dior’s legacy. While it maintains its instantly-recognizable shape, it now appears in beige or black CORDURA Nylon, working alongside a leather patch and magnetic buckle that reads “Dior by MYSTERY RANCH.” A mesh backing is embossed with Dior’s moniker, while a Christian Dior aluminium buckle (that’s appeared on the Saddle since its return under Jones) is color coded.
Complementing the Saddle, we find the Gallagator backpack in the same theme — black or beige and a leather, mesh, and Cordura Nylon structure. The same dual branding works the front, while buckle fastening wraps around the backpack in a manner that feels more in tune with MYSTERY RANCH’s aesthetic.
For those looking to complete the ensemble, Dior and MYSTERY RANCH have also worked on a belt bag, a zipped wallet, and the unsung hero of the drop, a tactical belt that’s centered on a branded buckle and features a nylon jacquard “CHRISTIAN DIOR”-branded belt.
