Thomas Bangalter, one-half of the former French electronic music duo Daft Punk, has delivered the 13th movement from his forthcoming orchestral solo album, Mythologies. The track, titled “Le Minotaure,” was initially commissioned by choreographer Angelin Perljocaj for a ballet of the same moniker, directed by Romain Dumas at the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, alongside the rest of the score.

The album, which clocks in at 90 minutes, features 23 total movements that repaint Banglater’s classic sound with the traditional force of a symphony. The form, the stakes and the creative process involved in ‘Mythologies’ are all radically different and represent a new stage in Bangalter’s development over the last thirty years of writing, composing and performing music,” according to a release.

“Le Minotaure” comes after the album’s lead movement, “L’Accouchement,” which arrived late last month. Notably, Mythologies will mark Bangalter’s first solo album in two decades, following Outrage, which was released in 2003.

Earlier this week, Daft Punk announced that they would reissue their fourth and final album, Random Access Memories, in celebration of its 10th anniversary later this year. Scheduled to arrive on May 12 via Columbia, the updated record will feature nine new tracks and 35 minutes of unreleased music, including demos and outtakes from recording sessions.

Mythologies is slated to release on April 7. Listen to Thomas Bangalter’s “Le Minotaure” above.

In more music news, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande reunited on “Die For You (Remix).”
