After introducing its Nike “CLOTEZ” collaboration, CLOT has now returned to share its first team-up with The North Face. Centered around a dialogue with Mother Earth, the brands’ “colored by nature, inspired by exploration” collection takes us through mountains and towards the misty peaks.

“The core person that I am, it hasn’t really changed over time, but my curiosities have, what gives me a successful feeling has. My mindset is actually exploration. Allowing yourself to see new things, allowing yourself to experience clouds, sunsets and sunrises, is a story that I’ve never told. I feel like The North Face was the perfect conduit for that story to be expressed,” shared Edison Chen, Founder and Creative Director of CLOT.

Aiming to add color to your journey, the CLOT x The North Face collaboration is a combination of design and functionality. Nature-inspired elements are expressed through colors with an accent of Eastern charm, while advanced technologically advanced material constructions provide creative layering potential and maximized practicality. Chen invited close friend and frequent collaborator designer Kazuki Kuraishi to assist in the collaboration, providing his wealth of fashion knowledge to push the limits of outdoor wear.

“When I design, I normally think about the details first. I don’t think too much about the concept, but Edison does. That’s why we work together. I always think of good design as it is, but even beautiful design needs good function,” explained Kazuki Kuraishi.

The beautiful colors of nature seen during treks through the mountains decorate the collection. With views drawn from a breathtaking sea of clouds above mountaintops, along with natural shades of lunar slate to lupine, reef waters, and macchiato providing a unique aesthetic. Standouts include the DRYVENT technology-assisted CLOT x The North Face Shell Jacket, waterproof Poncho outfitted with adjustable hidden buttons, Fleece Pullovers with a detachable hood and Chinese knot buttons paired with matching pants, and Shell Pullover with a detachable hood and diagonal placket.

The collection also features a wide range of matching accessories and footwear for full outfitting. Included in the mix is the Camping Blanked made of heat-retaining fabric, ThermoBallTM Traction Mules, and VECTIV™ TARAVAL hiking shoe outfitting with TNF’s patented VECTIV™ and FUTURELIGHT™ waterproof technology, along with SurfaceCTRL™ traction outsoles. Additionally, a line of kid’s wear is also available, ranging from Shell Jackets to Fleece Pullovers, and Fleece Pants.

The CLOT x The North Face collection will be available through JUICE February 23, with a wider release via The North Face February 24. The collection will be available in The North Face Pacific Place Urban Exploration Concept Store with a themed space from February 24 to March 10, The North Face Hysan Place Exploration Concept Store, and The North Face Concept Store for XPLR Pass members only.
