The 2023 Metallic Fund Continues to Champion Black Creative Talent in Britain
The project will award over £60,000 GBP to POC creatives looking to break into the arts and fashion industries.
The U.K. is home to thousands of Black and POC creatives that have worked to become leading personalities in their space. It can be challenging to break into artistic industries, but the Metallic Fund is here to support ambitious talent on their journey to success.
In 2021 Hypebeast helped launch the project, seeing its founders Grace Ladoja and Alex Sossah deliver a renewed approach every year to provide substantial support for POC in the arts and fashion sectors.
This year, the Metallic Fund has partnered with Havana Club, Bottega Veneta, and Bumble Metallic Inc. for its third installment, which will award over £60,000 GBP to young British creatives looking to break into select industries. Previous winners include No Signal Radio, Vivendii, and FEBEN, while the project has welcomed Martine Rose, Virgil Abloh, and Dexter Navy in the past as community advisors for its participants.
All Black, POC, and LGBTQ+ creatives living in the U.K. are strongly encouraged to apply, while all candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 34 years old. Find more information on how to apply to the Metallic Fund via its website.
