VF Corporation Hit by Cyberattack That Could Disrupt Holiday Fulfillments
Supply of Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Dickies, and more could be affected.

In a recent filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission, VF Corporation, the global apparel and footwear company behind Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Dickies, and more, shared that it was hit by a cyberattack. VF notes that the unexpected attack could majorly disrupt holiday shopping.
Back on December 13, VF Corporation began noticing “unauthorized occurrences” on its IT systems. Upon further investigation, VF discovered that hackers had encrypted some of its IT systems and stolen personal data. The cyberattack is now affecting its ability to fulfill orders for the holidays.
“At this time, VF-operated retail stores globally are open, and currently consumers can purchase available merchandise, but VF is experiencing certain operational disruptions,” said a company spokesperson. “At this time, consumers are also able to place orders on most of the brand e-commerce sites globally. However, the Company’s ability to fulfill orders is currently impacted.”
