Donkey Kong Country To Open in Spring 2024 at Super Nintendo World Japan
Introducing a new ride that leaps across a collapsed track.

Universal Studios Japan announced a Spring 2024 opening for Donkey Kong Country at Super Nintendo World.
The upcoming expansion puts the fictional gorilla under the spotlight and features a new ride called The Golden Temple, which is described as a mine cart coaster that includes a leap across a collapsed track and begins by being blasted out of a barrel canon. Fans will join Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong on an adventure through the jungle in order to protect the Golden Banana from the Tiki Tak Tribe.
In addition to The Golden temple, Donkey Kong Country promises “a play experience using your whole body,” as well as food and merchandise.
The expansion was first announced in September 2021, just six months after Super Nintendo World open at Universal Studios Japan.
