Moncler‘s Grenoble line is wear function meets vibrancy, grounding itself in technical winter-ready gear destined for the slopes. The Italian luxury label is asking everyone to participate in its communal Fall/Winter 2023 collection, bringing friends together for a good time. International athletes front the campaign, seeing Shaun White, Perrine Laffont, Richard Permin, and Cai Xuetong speak on the collaboration firsthand.
“Anything that you do in sport starts with how you feel in the gear you’re in. How you look and what you’re wearing puts you in the right mental state to let you do your job well. It’s all a confidence builder, Even the colors you put on can exude your attitude. When it comes to technical apparel, both functionality and style have changed tremendously since I started out as a professional athlete. Now you can both look and feel good in the clothes you compete in”, says White.
Moncler’s FW23 Grenoble collection is elevated in red, blue, yellow, and green primary hues, outfitting expert athletes for a thrilling snow-filled journey. The range consists of insulating garments that guide wearers down icy mountaintops, seeing color-blocked jackets receive zippers and adjustable straps for a supreme fit. “We are actively seeking to improve our performance. For my part, I set myself new objectives every day to be at the highest level and to reach new heights in performance. Moncler is a brand that creates and develops high-tech products, with quality raw materials, to achieve and promote performance – this is one of the keys to the success of our partnership. I think we also share the same vision of what a partnership is, with respect, listening and sharing, but also ambition, perseverance, and resilience,” outlines Laffont.
Speaking on what creates a career-defining moment, Permin states: I think it’s the choices we make and longevity. When I talk about choices, it’s the progression I’ve had throughout my career, from alpine skiing to freestyle, and then to freeriding. It has been a journey and a learning process that has kept me going. As for longevity, it’s about managing the body through injuries and obstacles along the way.
Moncler Grenoble’s form-fitting bodysuits and cozy layering pieces are ideal for outdoor play, allowing easy customization while preparing for uphill climbs. Moncler’s new accessories include oversized goggles for dominant protection, while warm knitted beanies complete the collection ready for action. “I have the same respect and love for the mountains as the brand does. It gives me strength that we both aspire for the enchantment and beauty of nature”, concludes Xuetong.
Moncler is opening its first-ever Grenoble flagship store in St. Moritz to coincide with the launch, setting its sights on the Swiss Alps.
