Etisalat MOTB’s 2024 Festival Looks to Deliver an Alternative Cultural Showcase

Where fashion brands, food stalls, and live entertainment will return to the Dubai Design District for two weeks.

From the creators of Dubai Shopping Festival, Etisalat Market Outside The Box – the alternative cultural event – is set to return to the city’s Design District for its 11th annual showcase. Hosted over two weeks, the event is set to include its signature scheduling of experiences and performances as well as retail and food stalls.

Coming off last year’s stand-out New York theme, which compiled world-renowned streetwear brands and subway-style performances against an industrial backdrop, the 2024 festival will focus on the interests of its Gen-Z audience to deliver a vibrant destination that appeals to a wider demographic.

For the retail market, a mix of local and international brands will be on scene to deliver the hottest fashion, footwear and accessories. As the festival continues to work towards a more diverse fashion offering, there will also be vintage sellers and craft-led makers displaying their products across the site. The main attraction, however, is a new FENTY Beauty Drive In, complete with “Style Jukebox” and previews of upcoming launches.

Keeping in tune with a progressive health-focused mindset, this year’s curation of food stalls will shift from burger joints and dessert stands to clean-eating vendors – enlisting chefs specifically inspired by Asian cuisine. Although entertainment for this year’s festival is yet to be announced, it is expected that DJs and artists from the region will be taking the stage each evening to wrap the event.

Etisalat MOTB will be held from Jan 5 – 14, and entrance to the festival will be free for all. Check out the recap of last year’s event above and to find out more, head to the organizer’s website now
