Roots Unites With CLOT To Continue Its 50th Anniversary Celebration
Inspired by the Year of the Dragon.

For 50 years, Roots has been a leader in not just creating but championing Canadian style. With that mission in mind, the Toronto-based brand has teamed up with the likes of Drake’s OVO, Mr. Saturday, The Weeknd, Barbie and more over the years. Now the brand is extending its reach even further by uniting with Edison Chen’s Hong Kong-based brand, CLOT.
Entitled “Go Outside: You’ll Be Glad,” the new collection furthers the celebration of Roots’ 50th anniversary alongside CLOT’s 20th anniversary. Inspired by the Year of the Dragon, the collaboration features two exclusive collections that center the heritage of Canada and Hong Kong – just like CLOT’s East meets West emphasis.
What gives the collaboration its legs is the focus on nature and its rejuvenating power. Comprising the collection is a leather varsity jacket, Kanga hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, track pants and tees. A standout piece is the leather varsity jacket which appears in light gray/camel with an assortment of multicolored patches.
“The design foundation of CLOT was built around inclusivity and honoring the streetwear culture of the East, and this has not changed in our 20-year history,” said Edison Chen. “The beauty of collaborating with a brand as iconic as Roots to celebrate CLOT’s 20th anniversary is our shared purpose and design ethos: combining style and culture to bring people together.”
Take a look at the new offering in the gallery above. The Roots x CLOT collaboration is set to release on Friday, November 10 in-store at Roots and online.
