Hypebeans Opens First Standalone Café in Fashion Walk, Hong Kong
Offering exclusive drinks, treats, and merch.
Hypebeans is expanding its presence in Hong Kong with its first standalone café. Located in Fashion Walk, a space that combines a unique mix of indoors and outdoors that’s tucked inside Hong Kong’s bustling shopping district, Causeway Bay.
Drawing inspiration from newsstands in NYC, the new café features retro and minimal interiors with tilings. The menu, curated by renowned barista, Sawada Hiroshi, takes cues from Hong Kong-style cafés, where traditional coffee is imbued with a touch of local charm. In addition to signature drinks like the Forest Matcha Latte and Ovaltine Espresso, the new café will also be serving Hojicha Latte. The new drink uses Hojicha powder that is directly sourced from Japan and boasts a rich and creamy texture that’s infused with a hint of dark chocolate.
To commemorate this new store opening, Hypebeans will also be offering exclusive treats as well as merchandise that are only available at its Fashion Walk location. This includes the Bomboloni that’s offered in Matcha Brûlée, and Satay Beef flavors, crafted in collaboration with local bakery, Dough Beings. Available for a limited time only, those who wish to grab a taste of the specially-made Bombolini can pop by to Hypebeans Fashion Walk from November 16 – 18, as well as 20 – 25.
On top of that, a limited-edition T-shirt is also offered. Arriving in a dark green, the front of the T-shirt features a small Hypebeans logo, while the back is emblazoned with “HYPEBEANS NOW SERVING Coffee, Donuts, T-Shifts, Magazines, Music” in a mix of bold fonts. The limited-edition T-shirt retails for $320 HKD (approximately $41 USD) and is now available for pre-order.
