The Kid LAROI, Jungkook and Central Cee Release "TOO MUCH" Music Video
With visuals directed by Ramez Silyan.
In what might seem like an unlikely collaboration at first, Australian singer-songwriter and rapper, The Kid LAROI, has come together with South Korean singer Jungkook and British rapper Central Cee for a music video of “TOO MUCH.”
The song serves as the lead single in the second official rollout for The Kid LAROI’s debut studio album, THE FIRST TIME. Additionally, the track marks the first time these three artists have collaborated with each other.
Notably, the song was inspired by a Discord conversation on June 26th of 2023, where LAROI’s friend and photographer, Adam Kargenian, said that his favorite song at the time was “TOO MUCH.”
The Music video for “TOO MUCH”, directed by Ramez Silyan, opens with a female subject approaching a 24-hour newsstand that is filled with a variety of magazines featuring the three artists, with each cover representing a clip from different parts of the video that follow.
These various scenes consist of simple platform stages with various colors where each individual artist is represented solo during their respective verses to all of them together in a suit and tie scene with a large number of female extras — who based on the lyrics are presumably representative of past relationships.
The video ends with one of the female subjects putting out a cigarette on the cover of the magazine, notably on The Kid LAROI’s face, as the question “Was it too much?” rings out on repeat in the background.
