Louis Vuitton's New 'Fashion Eye' Photography Books Capture Vienna, Hong Kong and Deauville
With photography from Stefanie Moshammer, Frank Horvat and Omar Victor Diop.
Continuing its celebration of travel, Louis Vuitton has announced the publication of three new destination-focused Fashion Eye photography books: Vienna by Stefanie Moshammer, Hong Kong by Frank Horvat and Deauville by Omar Victor Diop. Like previous iterations in the artistic series, each book explores its aforementioned country, region or places through the lens of one photographer.
In the first book, Moshammer, an Austrian photographer whose vision lies at the intersection between empiricism and experimentation, toys with the classic clichés of Vienna through an unexpected portrait of her hometown. In the second binding, Horvat, of French descent, documents the city of Hong Kong in a series of black-and-white photographs depicting the metropolitan area’s pedestrian-covered streets; and in the last publication, Diop, from Senegal, focuses specifically on the streets and buildings of Deauville, a revered coastal resort in Normandy.
Notably, each Fashion Eye book is tailor-made to its subject with special paper, binding techniques, layouts and printing processes. Alongside the imagery, each title includes biographical information and an interview with the photographer.
