LA Chargers Get the Crenshaw Skate Club Cosign Ahead of Monday's Game

Crenshaw Skate Club is paying tribute to its California roots in its latest collaborative venture. Teaming up with the Los Angeles Chargers NFL team, the skateboarding and lifestyle collective has curated a cohesive range of cobranded apparel and skate decks. Merging the cultures of football and skateboarding in the Chargers’ eye-catching colorway, the capsule lands ahead of the team’s Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.

While the two SoCal institutions, each revered in their own realm, seem like a more-than-likely collaboration, Crenshaw Skate Club’s founder Tobey McIntosh conveys that the capsule’s inspiration runs much deeper than that. “As a longtime football fan, being able to merge the worlds of football and skateboarding has been a goal of mine ever since the inception of CSC back in 2017,” McIntosh explained in a press release. “I was drawn to the resilient and gritty nature of the Chargers as a kid and have been a fan ever since. As a skateboarding brand birthed out of South Central, CSC aligns with the resilience of the Chargers and this capsule collection is the embodiment of that.”

The lookbook flexes the capsule’s pieces in motion, featuring models grinding down stairway railings in heavyweight vintage hoodies and tossing around a football in cobranded graphic tees. Ranging from $45 USD to $135 USD, the collection will first hit Los Angeles’ Sofi Stadium on October 16, available for purchase exclusively in the Chargers Team Store. A global online release will follow on October 24.
