With the Halloween holidays now thoroughly underway, a melange of freaky costumes have flooded social media. However, along with the spooky fits, there’s also an abundance of footwear releases on the way for another week; with the likes of Jordan Brand, Nike, HOKA, PUMA, ASICS, and more preparing kicks to keep an eye on. But, before we step into the lineup of releases coming across the next seven days, let’s review what headlines popped up from the industry this past week.

On the feature front, Hypebeast’s Sole Mates series continued with a conversation with Above The Clouds founder, Dimitri Calligeros. The Hypebeast team also assembled a list of the ten best kid-designed shoes from the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle program ahead of the most recent collection’s reveal.

As for the news, Nike released an official 2024 release date for its Air Max Penny 1 “Penny Story,” and Jacquemus also partnered with Nike to unveil an orange colorway of their J Force 1 sneakers. Elsewhere, Nike’s first-ever SNKRS showcase unveiled over 30 releases for 2024 and the Swoosh revealed its Doernbecher Freestyle XIX collection. Additionally, UGG and Madhappy reunited on a classic Ultra Minny, while NN.07 and SEBAGO brought “Scandi Leather for Scandi Weather” with an all-new Loafer collaboration.

As for Nike’s footwear competitors, adidas tolerated Ye’s misconduct for almost a decade, according to a New York Times investigation, while New Balance presented a new “Fire Sign” collaboration with DTLR for its 9060 silhouette. Rounding things out, KENZO and Hunter continued its “East Meets West” journey with a new collaboration and Scottish designer Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY revealed his claws in a new Moccasin Moggies campaign to keep people talking.

With all of footwear’s key news recapped, we can now go ahead and prepare you for ten of this week’s best releases to be hitting stores worldwide. Afterwards, don’t forget to hit up HBX to shop styles that can be purchased today.

Nike VaporMax Moc Roam “Light Stone”

Release Date: October 31
Release Price: $220 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Having teased a “Triple Black” version of the silhouette back in April, Nike is releasing an all-new “Light Stone” version of the VaporMax Moc Roam. The shoe starts with a lightweight, slip-on entry point, while its full-length VaporMax Air unit is complemented by a slew of tan shades — which hide the tongue — and finished with a small, blacked-out Swoosh on the lower heel counter.

Dime x Reebok Club C “Silver”

Release Date: October 31
Release Price: £102 GBP (approx. $125 USD)
Where to Buy: Reebok
Why You Should Cop: Montreal-based skate brand, Dime, has become somewhat of a collaborative master in recent times. However, the brand has just begun a new chapter with its latest partnership with Reebok, building on the duo’s previously-released Workout Push collaboration with a metallic Reebok Club C. The shoe is complemented by a melange of co-branding on the lateral sides and insoles, while its abstract laces welcome a burst of color to take us through into the brisk winter.

pgLang x Converse Chuck 70

Release Date: November 2
Release Price: $100 USD
Where to Buy: Converse
Why You Should Cop: Kendrick Lamar and David Free’s pgLang has unveiled one creative endeavor after another since its introduction in 2020. Working closely with Converse, the duo has just presented their second project together. This time around, two presentations of the Chuck 70 have been prepared with a special twist — the version you get will be unknown until you open the shoe box. While both pairs are outfitted in minimalist black colorways, one features “Converse Navy” pinstriping on the left shoe and “Irish Green” on the right. As for the other, it utilizes “Irish Cream” on the left shoe and “Converse Red” on the right. Special pgLang branding is scattered throughout with hiking eyelets applied to the shoe for a unique finish.

Slam Jam x Salomon XT-Quest

Release Date: November 2
Release Price: $225 USD
Where to Buy: Slam Jam and Salomon
Why You Should Cop: Slam Jam and Salomon have served up a silver bullet of an XT-Quest collaboration for their second co-created effort. Combining the shimmer of silver with the starkness of multiple grey shades, it salutes the intense shades of Arizona’s Painted Desert in singular style. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more shimmering shoe for the season.

Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Baroque Brown”

Release Date: November 2
Release Price: $118 USD
Where to Buy: Supreme
Why You Should Cop: They’re finally here. After an extended wait, Supreme and Nike’s “Baroque Brown” is set to drop on Thursday, assuming early reports hold true. They’ll be the fourth colorway in Supreme and Nike’s line of seasonal Air Force 1s — following white, black and wheat colorways — to release and offer a rich hue perfect for the change of seasons.

Jordan Zion 3 “Fresh Paint”

Release Date: November 2
Release Price: $140 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: With the 2023-24 NBA season now officially underway, New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is stretching his legs on court with his latest footwear offering. And while the power forward has battled a slew of injuries in recent times, his latest creation with Jordan Brand has arrived to support his unique playstyle with a semi-translucent sole unit hit with a collection of black specks throughout. Meanwhile, the shoe is also strategically reinforced to help contain strong lateral movements over the footbed.

Fenty x PUMA Avanti L

Release Date: November 2
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: PUMA
Why You Should Cop: Now back in the creative director’s chair for the revival of her highly sought-after Fenty x PUMA collaboration, Rihanna is continuing to prove the power of her celebrity in fashion. And now, after a successful relaunch in September, the artist’s label has teamed up with PUMA once again for two new takes on the Avanti. Featuring premium leather uppers, the sneaker is also finished with debossed gold Fenty markings alongside white and brown gum soles.

Nicole McLaughlin x HOKA Mafate Three2

Release Date: November 3
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: HOKA
Why You Should Cop: Designer Nicole McLaughlin has continued to build a stellar following for her ability to create out-of-the-ordinary designs that are often playful in nature and lean on a DIY aesthetic. Now, following her time designing at Reebok, she has teamed up with HOKA to introduce their latest silhouette — the MAFATE THREE2 — and it’s coming with a twist. Adding a gaiter to the high-top silhouette, the shoe also welcomes a raised collar, while the upper is hit with shades of grey and yellow. Additionally, the shoe boasts a sizable sole unit, combining hues of red and yellow to complemented the raised stitched detailing seen throughout.

Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS NOVALIS GEL-TEREMO

Release Date: November 3
Release Price: $250 USD
Where to Buy: ASICS
Why You Should Cop: Over the last few months, Kiko Kostadinov has teased various upcoming projects with ASICS, with the most recent one coming from its first debut sneaker under the NOVALIS line – the GEL-TEREMOA. The shoe was initially announced earlier this year as part of the brand’s premium fashion line and now the London-based designer is welcoming the latest sneaker from the NOVALIS line with an elevated upper that’s primarily constructed out of premium leather. The shoe — which will arrive in a melange of colorways — also includes mesh layers below the eyestays, while the customary branding can be spotted above the raised stitch detailing.

Air Jordan 1 High “Royal Reimagined”

Release Date: November 4
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Rumored at the beginning of the year, the Air Jordan 1 High “Royal Reimagined” has been one of Jordan Brand’s most-anticipated releases of 2023. After months of early previews, it’s finally time for this refreshed take on the OG colorway to hit shelves as this entry in the “Reimagined” series sees suede take the place of leather. The typical color arrangement of the AJ1 “Royal” returns with black and blue paired on the classic silhouette.
