Korean co-ed label System Studios has returned to Paris Fashion Week for the first time in three years, presenting its latest offering to a fashion-hungry crowd of global brand fanatics. Titled “Returning Legacy,” the imprint’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection calls upon its lengthy history and immersive heritage while looking toward the future for something new.

The assortment of looks is inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s River of Shadows essay and channels his remarks on the feeling of tension in high-speed movement. The brand promotes this very idea through an advanced range of dynamic garments frozen in time, previewed with modernized detailing that brings them to life in unique formats.

The showcase began with checkered blazers that matched with slouchy denim bottoms for a contemporary look, styled with upgraded shirting that features pop-up collars that wrap around the throat like art. Cozy wool cardigans accompany leather button-downs with oversized lapels and racing-inspired ensembles, while pullovers boast slashed necklines with rebellious vitality.

For women, laidback garments were contrastingly delivered as loose-fitting cargos, rough-cut hoodies, and cropped motorcycle jackets with mismatched paneling. The range comes alive at nighttime, encouraging wearers to go on adventurous outings sporting thigh-length blazer dresses, rebellious sherpa jackets, and asymmetrical shirting that redefines traditional office attire. Cut, sewn, and undeniably sexy, the offering is ideal for the tasteful party-goer in you.
