Los Angeles Rams Defensive Lineman Aaron Donald Reportedly Teases Retirement
Sending fans in a frenzy over a Twitter bio change.
The Los Angeles Rams‘ star defensive lineman, Aaron Donald might have just let it slip that he is entertaining the idea of retirement.
The NFL veteran sent fans in a frenzy this past weekend when the 31-year-old D-lineman changed his bio on Twitter to “former NFL D Lineman for the Rams.” As his followers started to notice the change, Donald reverted back to his old bio, dropping the “former” to the caption. His wife Erica also later took to Twitter to try to debunk the rumors telling fans to “chillax” with a gif from The Office. Adam Schefter caught the change on Twitter, posting to his own account the before and after bio update.
Donald has never been one to shy away from the conversation around retirement. After the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl last year, Donald, who is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, admitted that he is highly considering retiring. HotNewHipHop recounters his past statement where Donald said, “I’ll be fine regardless, but me talking about retirement, that was happening way before we won a Super Bowl. I’ve been saying that since I got into the league I was going to play eight years and be done. That’s just what I’ve been saying…If I was to play, it’s just to win another Super Bowl, but at the end of the day, it’s still a business and it got to make sense to me and my family.”
