Joe Freshgoods Reminisces About Midwestern Winters With His Vault by Vans “Chocolate Valley Resort” Collaboration
The Chicago native cooks up his own Sk8-Hi Reissue Platform VLT LX and Slip-Hiker LX renditions along with matching apparel.
Joe Freshgoods has swiftly become a household name in the streetwear and sneakers sphere. His creativity has been filtered through various brands such as New Balance, Converse and Vans for various projects, and this month he’s reuniting with the latter to produce a new footwear and apparel collaboration. For this project, the Windy City native ponders on Midwestern winters and creates a capsule that is fit for a log-cabin getaway.
Headlining the new range is the footwear which is comprised of four colorways and two silhouettes. JFG lends his creative touch to the Sk8-Hi Reissue Platform VLT LX and fashions it in “Coral Almond” and “Camel” colorways which are equipped with quilted side panels and buttery suede overlays. The second model that’s highlighted here is the winter-ready Slip-Hiker LX. Essentially a puffer jacket for your feet reminiscent of Hender Scheme x The North Face Mules, the kicks come styled in a louder pink and green colorway as well as in a snowy white presentation. Co-branded hangtags dangle off the lace toggles.
Dropping alongside the sneakers is a range of clothing and accessories. For outerwear, JFG has readied a “Buttercream” Resort Puffer and a Chocolate Cardigan that is engineered with mohair and coral jacquard stripes. A branded tote bag, striped balaclava, tee and a pair of olive cargo pants are also in order to launch.
