Hong Kong’s GrowthRing & Supply (GRS) is preparing to celebrate the Lunar New Year with Jerry Keung’s Golden Dragon & Lion Dance Team — Needless. With the theme of “Boundless; Peerless” (穹蒼無極 天下無雙) the capsule looks to celebrate the city’s recovery and to look once more at the endless possibilities in the world.
Made up of the Sun Faded Hoodie, Reversible Kung Fu Fleece Jacket, and Hand-Stitched Cap, each piece sees GRS’ military-informed designs and mixes them with cultural details associated with Hong Kong and the Lunar New Year Celebration. Shedding light on the traditional art of lion dance, the lookbook was shot with a custom lion dance head. The key piece, the Reversible Kung Fu Fleece Jacket features fabric from Japan with military fleece, a reverse side with elements of martial arts clothing (Kung Fu), and patch branding.
