As October rolls around, the NBA is gearing up to kick off its upcoming season. In celebration of the 2022-23 year, Nike is planning on releasing a selection of basketball shoes in honor of King James himself and his team the Los Angeles Lakers.

The shoe arrives dressed in a vivid purple, metallic gold, black, cave purple, lilac and solar flare color scheme, readying the LeBron James‘s 20th signature shoe with the Swoosh brand. The offering is constructed with a knitted upper and double-stacked Swooshes on the lateral and gold and purple, as well as special “XX” lace dubraes and insole branding as a nod to the silhouette. A tonal graphic print in purple decorates the forefoot and midsole to round out the design.

So far, the colorway is said to arrive in elementary sizing, showing that it is never too young to get in on the Lakers fanbase. Watch out for the Nike LeBron 20 GS “Vivid Purple” releasing on October 7 in select retailers and on Nike for $160 USD.

In other footwear news, Nike Air Max 1 ‘87 gets hit with an “Ale Brown” colorway.
