Kim Jones Goes Green for Fendi’s SS23 Collection in Milan
Utilizing the color in various shades and formats on the runway.

Pulling double-duty this season, Kim Jones has beefed up Fendi’s presence for fashion month – first showing Fendi’s resort collection during New York Fashion Week, and now unveiling his new designs for the house’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection in Milan.
As a clean break from the multi-collab and street style heavy aesthetic seen on his NYFW runway (designed alongside Silvia Venturini, Marc Jacobs, Porter, Tiffany & Co. and Sarah Jessica Parker), Jones created this SS23 collection with a softer approach and a lighter palette, utilizing the color green in various shades and formats.
Familiar fabrications such as rich satins and sheer chiffons made a return, along with blushing silks, ribbed cotton and soft wools. With green as a mainstay, the color appeared throughout the entire collection in neon (floral appliqué, knee-high boots and shift dresses), olive (tulle tunics, zip-front swearers and handbags), and moss (billowing pants and shoulder bags).
Adding to the collection’s color spectrum, Jones also used punched-up primary hues such as pink and true blue to round out the 60+ runway looks.
Moreover, with a heavy focus on footwear and accessories for Spring, the house introduced several new trend options for women, including stacked-heel slides with an open-toe, knee-high stretch boots, a platform sneaker and a fur tote bag with top stitched logo ribbon detailing.
