Airbnb Is Opening the Theodore TOO Tugboat to the Public

Airbnb is giving those in Ontario and chance to experience a little bit of Maritime nostalgia with the opening of the Theodore Too. Based on the original Theodore Tugboat from the 1996 Andrew Cochran-created show in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Theodore TOO is a 65-foot humanized tugboat with a red cap and welcoming face. Relocated to Hamilton Harbour, Theodore TOO now serves as an ambassador to the marine industry and a guide to the Great Lakes.

As your Host, I can’t wait to show you around from bow to stern, and take you on your own Big Harbour adventure for a night.”

Set for an August 29 listing, the stay will give guests a night onboard the red-capped boat with local eats from Hamilton while learning about the East Coast roots of the boat. Guests will be able to book two individual one-night stays on September 10, 2022, and September 11, 2022, for only $22 CAD a night, a nod to Theodore TOO’s 22 years. Airbnb will also be making a one-time donation to The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, a national charity that fulfills dreams for children and youth living with severe physical disabilities.
