Lil Wayne fans will have to wait to see their favorite rapper, among other artists, perform live. The rapper’s annual hometown music festival, Lil WeezyAna Fest, has been postponed until October due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

The festival was slated to be held at New Orleans’ Champions Square on Saturday, August 27. Yesterday, August 25, Wayne took to Instagram to apologize and share that the festival had to be postponed.

“To my fans, you know I always want to deliver the best show possible and we hope this has not inconvenienced you in any way,” Wayne wrote in the caption. “The festival was sold out thanks to you. Please hold on to your tickets and I will see you in October. I promise to make it up to you and to my city.”

Lil WeezyAna Fest is now scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 29. The event will still be held in Champions Square, an outdoor plaza located right next to Caesars Superdome.

Alongside Wayne, the lineup of performers includes Coi Leray, Moneybagg Yo, Babyface Ray, Rob 49 and more, as well as special unannounced guests. As of right now, it appears that the lineup of performers hasn’t changed with the rescheduling.
