Global Citizen is gearing up for an energizing 2022 festival with the announcement of this year’s headliners.

Leading the charge are SZA, Mariah Carey, Metallica and Usher, but the full list is complete with several popular names. This year’s festival is set for Saturday, September 24 in Accra, Ghana and New York City. Taking place at the Black Star Square, the Accra show will feature performances from SZA, Usher, H.E.R., Tems, Gyakie, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Stormzy. The NYC show will be held at Central Park and is set to include Mariah Carey, Metallica, Rosalía, Charlie Puth, Jonas Brothers, Måneskin and Mickey Guyton.

Like previous years, the festival is a free-ticketed event. However, interested attendees must earn points through the Global Citizen app in order to secure tickets. For more information, visit the Global Citizen Festival website.
