The first week of August 2022 is starting off strong in the world of sneakers as Ye is executing his annual YEEZY Day initiative, Jordan Brand is delivering modernized takes on its retro models and Salehe Bembury is back in the spotlight thanks to his newest collaboration with Vans. Before we dive into all of those exciting drops, let’s first summarize all of the action that turned up last week in the footwear space.

HYPEBEAST‘s sneaker series Sole Mates rolled right along by spotlighting Mad Bad Ting — a triple threat stylist, DJ and founder of brand Très Rasché — to discuss her newest Reebok collaboration. Sneaker news galore popped up last week, especially on the Nike side as the brand unveiled its new Zoom MMW 5 Clog, showed off the NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low and made a splash with its Nike Air Kukini “Water” retro reveal. Striking items from Jordan Brand were also teased such as its highly anticipated Clog in black, the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4 collaboration, Jayson Tatum’s Air Jordan 37 PE and the Jordan Luka 1 “Quai 54” makeup.

Switching gears to the adidas side, the German sportswear giant also had a ton of heat to announce. We caught a look at Philllllthy’s adidas NMD S1 collaboration, the adidas YEEZY FOAM RNNR “MX Carbon,” Gucci’s adidas Gazelle Platform capsule and Fucking Awesome’s Experiment 1 “Dust Sand” team-up.

Other notable sneakers that sprung up include that of Stray Rats’ New Balance Stray Rats MT580 collaboration, One Block Down’s Vans Slip-On “Dog Days” collection and New Balance’s Valentine’s Day-ready 550 “Scarlet” colorway.

Now that we’ve caught you up on the latest in sneakers, let’s get into this week’s best releases here below. When you’re all done there, be sure to check out the HBX online store to pick up more heat for your wardrobe.
