Dua Lipa's Second PUMA "Flutur" Collaboration Is Made for the Rave
The queen of nostalgia serves unisex activewear, brand-new sneakers and more.

Pop icon and queen of future nostalgia Dua Lipa returns to her collaboration with PUMA, unveiling the second drop of her unisex partnership, “Flutur.” With nostalgia in mind, Dua Lipa looks back on retro designs and archival moments in both culture and PUMA’s history, referencing the ’90s rave scene that sees the collection get a heady injection of pink, purple and orange, holographic touches and more, infiltrating the retro aesthetics that make up this collaborative collection.
Vintage rave flyers inspire the collection — and Dua Lipa’s — butterfly insignia that appears frequently throughout the collaboration, sitting alongside the PUMA “Fast Cat” logo to signify the joint effort. Speaking on this in detail, Dua Lipa said, “The butterfly represents transition, metamorphosis, and new beginnings. I felt like in the beginning, when I first started working on drop one, the butterfly already had a lot of meaning for me. Now, going into the second drop, that meaning has just solidified itself and become even more important in my life. It feels like everything progressed and manifested itself in that way.”
As for the collection itself, Dua Lipa and PUMA present over 30 items including a flared T7 tracksuit and the new CELL Dome King that have been exclusively designed by Dua Lipa for “Flutur.” Working alongside Billy Walsh, Dua Lipa also presents three takes on another sneaker: the Mayze, Mayze Boot, and Mayze Metallic. The CELL Dome King is evidently inspired by rave culture, sporting cues that nod to both football boots and, therefore, the necessary comfort for a rave. But football shoes played a heavy part in rave wear, as they commented on the fashion tastes of the ’90s as well as activewear that made perfect sense as you got hot and sweaty in a nightclub.
As for the trio of Mayze shoes, you’ll find a quintessential PUMA aesthetic that’s enhanced with a stacked sole unit, again nodding to ’90s styling. The clothing — which is also unisex like the sneakers — combines activewear cues with retro PUMA touches, seeing comfy tracksuits tinged with poppy colors or sports jerseys cut cropped.
