You’ll also have a chance to cop the Kerwin Frost x adidas Microbounce T1, Maison Château Rouge x Air Jordan 2 and more.
In the midst of the scorching weather of July continuing to roll on in, the world’s most notable sneaker imprints are making it a point to keep pumping out the heat. Over the course of the coming days, we’re going to see brands such as Nike, adidas, Reebok and more make a sizable delivery of new releases, but before we get into this week’s installment of Weekly Footwear Drops let’s make sure we’re all updated on last week first.
On the footwear exclusives front, HYPEBEAST‘s Sole Mates franchise tallied up another striking feature with the Sky Chen — director of COSTS — about his love for the ASICS GEL-LYTE III. Our Behind The HYPE series also expanded with a new episode that explores how YEEZY, Crocs and Balenciaga innovated the future of footwear with EVA foam. There was also a considerable amount of fresh news that was announced in the sneaker world. Starting with Nike, the Beaverton-headquartered company officially unveiled its next Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose “Dark Sulfur” colorway, the Skate Like a Girl x Nike SB Dunk Low as well as a closer look at its impending Stüssy x Nike Air Max 2015 “Fossil” collaboration. We also caught some impressive items from Jordan Brand such as the Air Jordan 5 GORE-TEX “Off-Noir,” the Air Jordan 37 and an on-foot perspective of the Two 18 x Air Jordan 2 Low.
As always, adidas had to make its presence felt, so it gave us a closer look at its ultra-clean YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT “Slate Bone,” unveiled Lucas Puig’s PUIG Indoor silhouette, teased a new adidas Gazelle collaboration with Sean Wotherspoon and announced a new IVY PARK collection alongside Beyoncé.
Other brands that made some noise include Stone Island which showed off upcoming Donald Glover collaboration and 2002R team-up with AURALEE, Dior which previewed more styles alongside Cactus Jack as well as Maison Margiela and Reebok who quietly released a stealthy Croafer.
Now that we’ve got you all up to speed, take a dive into our round-up of the best releases dropping this week. And when you’re all done there, be sure to head over to HBX to shop more footwear styles.
