'Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1' Is Netflix's Most-Watched English TV Series in History
Logging over 781 million hours of streaming time globally.
Stranger Things Season 4, Vol. 1 is officially the most-watched English TV series in Netflix history.
In a report from ComicBook, Netflix revealed that the first half of the newest season has received more than 781 million hours of streaming time globally, earning an additional 159 million hours during the week of June 6. This allowed Stranger Things to overtake Bridgerton season two as the most-watched English TV series on the platform, beating its 656.26 million streaming hours.
Despite the feat, Stranger Things is only the third most-watched TV series on Netflix; non-English shows Money Heist: Part 5 and Squid Game still remain at Nos. 2 and 1 respectively, with Money Heist logging 792 million hours in its first month and Squid Game earning more than 1.65 billion streaming hours. However, ComicBook notes that Stranger Things still has a little under two weeks until it hits 28-day mark, giving it a chance to overtake Money Heist’s hours.
